Hey, all my myanmar brothers and sisters , so many people around the world, they easily understand when we tell them "I AM FROM BURMA OR I AM BURMESE". But our country is myanmar and we are myanmar nationalty. I am shan , chin , kachin , karan, mon or rakhine..! you don't need to argue about that too much! It's out of question! If you hold myanmar NRIC card or if you come out from myanmar holding by MYANMAR PASSPORT, that's mean you are from myanmar and you are surely myanmar nationalty. OK?

@MrRobinkoko i m confuse that i don't see burmese state in myanmar maybe the whole burma is belong to them so they name it burma.

@tweetytotherescue every ethnics live in Burma (Myanmar) call burmese (in English). But if you see karan, shan or every other minorities and ask, are u Myanmar, bamar or burmese whatever name it, they will reply No...right away. My friend is karan, somebody ask her, are u burmese? she reply i am karan, karan is karan, burmese is burmese not the same. Not only ethnics live outside myanmar, but also inside myanmar every other ethnics you can ask are u myanmar, except mix bloods, u will get answer.
