I reject the very argument that "teaching gay marriage in schools" is a reason to oppose marriage equality. Intentionally excluding gay literature from schools poses far greater ethical issues.

A book about 2 male penguins was banned from my school. The 2 male penguins found an orphaned penguin baby and took care of it as if it was their own.. It was banned for supporting gay marriage. WTF.

@KendrixTermina Normalizing and teaching a sexual fetish to children is no less damaging than showing them actual pornography. It desensitizes them to sex and even deviant sexuality at an age where their bodies arent even capable of fully enjoying it and thus leads to them having a difficult and dysfunctional life. How is it beneficial to the children? It is only beneficial to perverts who want to be open about their perversions.

Historically and culturally marriage is a partnership for the creation, protection and education of children...

Also there are life experiences that can turn men off of women through bad associations. Hedonism which leads people to seek pleasure from anything and sexual abuse. I'm not under the impression that homosexuality can be stamped out of existence or that it needs to be....

@KendrixTermina - Again, I don't say it is OK or that kids won't be exposed one way or the other to the topic (and better in school than through tv/internet/friends). I say it is very clear for me why parents don't want their kids to be exposed to the topic of homosexuality, because we do not know yet how muc the environment is involved.

@KendrixTermina - I did not say it is OK, and I am fine with sexual education, including homosexuality. I say it is understandable (not justifiable) because we do not know yet how sexual orientation works.

@KendrixTermina - No, it is not proven. There is not enough evidence (no gay gene), although there is general consensus that it must be biological. But no scientist will claim at this moment that homosexuality is exclusively determined by biological factors. No one. When these factors are identified, you will be able to test your baby in te womb to know their sexual orientation in advance and educate him/her accordingly.
