A goal line stand with 27 seconds left in the game helps Blue to a 16-10 victory.

Check out the cheap late hit the Illini defender gives to Larry Ricks at 2:27. When Bo argued that Illinois should have been flagged, the ref threw the flag on Bo instead knocking UM out of field goal range and forcing us to punt.

Jerry Burgei gets robbed of an interception in the 4th quarter as well.

Game played on November 6, 1982 in Champaign.

  • At 2:12 lower right of screen: No. 81 for Illini is the current head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers, TE Tim Brewster.

  • Ha! I never noticed that before. Good eye.

  • It looked like there was a lot of hard hits and some bad blood out there.

  • No doubt. When the teams played the previous year, UM won 70-21. And on the other side, Bo hated Mike White and was still pissed at Illinois for firing Gary Moeller. The bad feelings between the two schools continued through the 1980's but died down shortly after.

I personally can't stand Illinois. And their fans are among the worst in the Big Ten. Right up there with OSU's. You couldn't pay me to watch Michigan play in Champaign.

  • The Illinois state legislature is seriously considering completely cutting the University of Illinois's athletic department due to the state's massive budget deficit.

  • When you have Anthony Carter that means everyone else has Single Coverage

  • If you Anthony Carter you can convert any 3rd in long

  • No catch at 4:59.

  • Brad Childress was an offensive assistant for Illinois. He was in the sideline shot next to Mike White at the end of the game. He was on Moeller's staff and was retained by White.

  • college football s*cks

  • Amen to that. I'm glad you're not a fairweather fan unlike alot of fans WH.

  • Thanks for posting. AC was an amazing player. Probably years ahead of his time. 6:52 missed sack. Rrrrr. Wish I had a dime for every one of these during the Bo, Moeller, and Carr years.

  • TE Brewster is also making the catch at 8:08.
