I think it is very interesting that you are using a towel to enhance the reduction. Certainly your colors are really nice. If you could provide more info on the glaze you used, that would be really great.

Nice, But they need to be washed with soft scrub, to get the smoke film off, or they will turn black in a few years,

infant raku artist starting out with very little know how about mixing glazes from scratch. i have one recipe for copper matte but i'm open to trying new options. do you know of a good place to look for recipes
We have a person who mixes the chemicals and we simply add water, stire & apply. There are several pages online where you can get recipes. Good luck...

Thanks...we mix our own glazes and never know what we'll get until we open the bucket...it's great fun!
