From DirecTV's broadcast of Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America, BoDeans perform "Closer to Free" at Miller Park in Milwaukee on October 2, 2010. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers.

As a harmonic duo These guys are right up there with Difford &TillBrook, without the attitude.LOL. Actually got to meet them@Harborfest in Norfolk Va. Many years ago, my friend Jeremy & made our way backstage and, you couldn't have asked to hang with a nicer group of folks. Keep on Rockin Bruthahz!

They're a Milwaukee band. They were my favorite band when I lived in Milwaukee in the mid-late 1980s. The Bo Deans and the Violent Femmes were the local bands that made it big at that time.
