I haven't heard many Nabuccos so I can't compare properly (moreover, comparisons are stupid... anyway!) but I like really much Bruson as il Re here..... I have him on DVD from The Met (i think) with Flanigan, Colombara etc and the man do it stupendously

Bruson is the best Nabucco of all time! (And in other Verdi baritone-roles is he too one of the bests!

The Fenena is sung by my fellow country woman Raquel Pierroti we sudied together back in Montevideo a long time ago!

In 2001 Nabucco was Alexandru Aghache,Abigel-Francesca Patane....In 2000 Nabucco was Renato Bruson
and as Abigel the wonderful Sylvie Valayre both time conducted by Daniel Oren

I saw them in Verona in 2001 at the 100th death anniversary of Verdi, Daniel Oren conducted!
It was beautiful!!
