@0deefreak Emo is a direct insult given to the music genre Emotive Hardcore Punk and its followers. It started in that 80's when punks were getting pissed about a softer version of their music, so they called anyone who listened to the genre "emo" as an insult. It has nothing to do with cutting yourself, claiming to be original with all of your friends who look exactly the same, listening to My Chemical Romance religiously, or pretending to have problems.
