An actor who is also a sex symbol must work 10x more than the others because he needs to prove his success is due to his talent and not his looks.
Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger are other actors who went through the same ordeal, although one can easily argue that Leonardo is the best actor of his generation.
