James Franklin is very class. The state of Tennessee has some class programs. Memphis, MTSU and Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt Football is the future of college football in Tennessee. 2012 will be a great year and Vanderbilt will improve. 2011 was just the start. Its great to be GOLD!!!

@joccupation you guys were like 4 hours from the stadium, we were almost 9 haha. Nothing against Vandy (Great fans, and respectful people) but your head coach is too arrogant for me, giving to credit to UC and has an excuse for everything. Good luck in the future to your program, its exciting to see new football teams on the rise!!

Coach Franklin is a great person to turn a program around, and I'm glad that we have him. I hope that he can manage some of the upcoming hurdles with keeping our recruits and managing monster schedules for 2012 and 2013.

@btmorgan68aug I think that you are right for the most part, but I'm not sure that Jordan should have stayed in. I think that Coach Franklin sees Larry as a young version of himself and, rightly, unfairly criticized in the past. That said, Larry was not quite able to seize his opportunity with us either by his own inability or his situation(s). I wish him well, and I appreciate his effort.

Very proud of the program. Coach is right, this is just the beginning. I was there and Vandy had more fans than Cincinnati. We look forward to next year! Go Dores!!

I have been a fan for most of my 43 years, so I have a history with this team. I'm also sure Larry Smith is a great guy, and hard worker, but CJF was over the top with LS. LS was never an SEC QB but CJF has had a man crush on him since he arrived @ Vandy. This video shows Franklin trying to sell his poor decision of not remaining with Rogers, plus he is I'm sure he's trying to prove his worthiness of tha. new pay raise. Bobby Johnson beat ole miss and ky too.

Good to see Larry go out fighting...too bad it couldn't end the way he started his bowl career. Casey will be sorely missed as he was a warrior!
