Not true, the Australian homes where 1/3 of the program participants came forward to report mistreatment have only been operating since 2001.
The method of telling young women who suffer from mental illness was the main form of counselling at Mercy Ministries, it's there in black and white for you to see for yourself.
Thank you also for the conversation. However, it's a shame some people turn away from the facts to defend those who abuse.

To see the counselling materials used, head over to the mercysurvivors website and be enlightened. There are scanned copies on the website.
These counselling materials and teachings were used in all the Mercy Ministries homes, in several countries, not just in one home as you suggest.
Enlighten yourself. Nobody is "Bashing" Mercy Ministries. Speaking out against abuse is something Jesus would do, not cover it up.

Have you not read all the reports? Former residents from BOTH Australian homes as well as from the Nashville home have come forward. These issues did not occur in only one home in one location.
Those who have seen the counselling materials Mercy Ministries uses can comment on what is taught to the girls. I take it you haven't seen these?

You do realise that Mercy Ministries has only been running in Australia since 2001, so not for 25 years?
Addressing the spiritual aspect is one thing, but telling young women that they have an eating disorder because of demons in them is totally different, and that is what Mercy Ministries does.

I find it strange that you label 1/3 of program participants in Australia, as well as a number of program participants in other countries "a select few."
They are called Mercy for a reason.
People there are always begging for mercy, and receive none.

So 1/3 of the Australians who went there is a select few to you? Interesting.
I take it you agree with their teachings that mental illness is caused by demons and that exorcisms is the best treatment to cure mental illness?
