I wish the answers could have been more complete, but due to time constraints and trying to put everything in layman's terms, it is the very basics. Is there anywhere I can get a better stream of this? I want to show it to my students as an example of Hindu culture (I know it's more than just Hindu, that's why I want to show this particular one). Additionally, where can I get the Henna that MehndiMasala uses?
Lavendar has terpinol which is the active ingredient in essential oils which helps mehndi darken. It is the mildest of the terps and is best for most skin types. Harsher but effective terps are tea trea, and eucalyptus globulous, and clove amongst others. Clove is very harsh tho and must be used in low doses or not at all!
