Part 2 of Kim Brennan from Hasina Mehndi & Body Art interview on CityTV.
ICNHA Certified Artist
Author of 'Ganesha's Henna Garden' and 'Mehndi Masala'. I wish the answers could have been more complete, but due to time constraints and trying to put everything in layman's terms, it is the very basics. If you would like to know more about this wondeful artform, please visit my site at http://www.winnipeghenna.com or the best henna resource on the web, http://www.hennapage.com. Thank you for your time, attention and support!

  • lavandar in Mehindi????! okaaay right?

  • Lavendar has terpinol which is the active ingredient in essential oils which helps mehndi darken. It is the mildest of the terps and is best for most skin types. Harsher but effective terps are tea trea, and eucalyptus globulous, and clove amongst others. Clove is very harsh tho and must be used in low doses or not at all!

  • Is there anywhere I can get a better stream of this? I want to show it to my students as an example of Hindu culture (I know it's more than just Hindu, that's why I want to show this particular one).

Additionally, where can I get the Henna that MehndiMasala uses?

  • an asian - in britain we mean indian/pakistani/bengali when we say asian. desi means asian in hindi/urdu - the languages of desi's lol
