Ummm containerized systems have been out looooooooong before Sun, Google, Micorsoft, HP got into the game.

Well yes and no. If you think about it, yes, sun first made the container idea. But Google's system is much different from how Sun designed theirs. But you're correct in essence.

Actually Sun came up with the data center in a container; Google copied them. Look up project Blackbox

Very solid explanation of the containerized data center. If you happen to see a unit like this at a trade show, we highly recommend taking the tour.
