PONTI DEL MERCADO a Marketing Professional, Tango Performer-Instructor and a Movie and Theatre Actor, is the Founder, President and Director of PONTITANGO "The Tango Ambassadors" Since 1993. Inspired by his mother, an Argentine Tango Dancer Blanca Mercado, provides Instructions, Exhibitions, Promotion and Lecture on Tango in Washington DC.

His curriculum is extensive with appearances in; Wolf Trap and Strathmore, National Building Museum, Woodrow Wilson House, Russian Cultural Centre, James Monroe House, Decatur House, National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Mexican Cultural Institute, Historical Society of Washington, Watergate Gallery, National Press Club, Department Homeland Security, Masonic Temple, The Washington Club, The Latino Coalition, Miss Chinese American, Miss Latina USA, The World Bank, The Inter-American Development Bank, OAS, Social Security Administration, Library of Congress, The Argentine Tango & Folk Festival, Stardust Dance Weekends, Championship Dance Camps, Fiesta DC, Dance DC, NOVA College, GWU and George Mason University, Tuscana West. The Embassy of Argentina and The Embassy of Uruguay hosted many of his Tango Performances and Lessons.

He had the honor to share the stage with the most world-renowned Bandoneonists such as; Alejandro Muzio, Daniel Diaz, Daniel Binelli, Ruben Juarez, Raul Jaurena and Juan Pablo Jofre Romarion. Performed accompanied by Pan American Symphony Orchestra, QUINTANGO, Burnett Thompson Music, Atipica Tango Band and The National Chamber Ensemble. Followed by media: Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Washingtonian Magazine, FOX TV, TELEMUNDO and UNIVISION among others.

"The Lesson" & "The Tango Dancer" are movies he participated along with documentaries and TV commercials. He states: "Tango is the Passion from The Rio de la Plata that makes us walk trough Life Ponti DM to BBC. Ponti was part of the cast in the play Made in Argentina, showed in Washington DC on 2008.
