My dad told me that this was the first popular hit song that contained a "swear word" (ass) and that it was a huge scandal but because it was a scandal it became even more popular with the new wave crowd. Why don't we have new and innovative stuff today? Everything is created by corporations - a bunch of guys sitting behind a conference table taking notes on "what will sell with the teens" rather than really skillful stuff. *sigh*

Saw this video while working out at my gym this morning ... "Flashback" Saturdays, they usually show stuff from the 1980s but today they showed this one which is from 1979, I think. She was one hot woman and the song is great. Love the entire group.

for everyone bitching about her "yellow teeth" its because they would have used enhanced yellow tinting on the whole video to make her look blonder, video editing wasn't developed enough for them to only edit some areas and leave the others hence the yellow teeth, and yellow tint to all white/light coloured things in the video. Its still better than the stupid intensely photoshopped, auto-tuned shit ignoramuses listen to nowadays.
