The last play of the Minnesota Twins tie-breaker ballgame on October 6, 2009. The Twins beat the Detroit Tigers 6-5 to win the Central Division Championship. In this final play Alexi Casilla's hit to right scores Carlos Gomez as the Twins walk off to a 12th-inning win at the Dome that seals a playoff spot with the Yankees.

2 consecutive nights of incredible sports in the dome. First, Favre beats the Packers....then the Twins win the Division in dramatic fashion. Its great to be a Minnesota sports fan!

I am Yankees fan and I am glad that the Yanks won the WS!!! But watch and see the Twins will win it all next year!!!!! I even called the Metrodome and told them that the Twins will overtake the Tigers!!!!! So I was right!!! Watch next year Twins 2010 WS Champs!!!!

@av8rcaptain Enjoy. Last time I checked you didn't win the championship on those occasions. With Favré choking to Saints and Twins getting - once again - swept by the mighty Yankees. The Twins are a pathetic bunch of losers when it comes to October play. This past year has shown what you're truly capable of: Wild missing the playoffs, Vikings last placed in NFC North, T-Wolves worst record of NBA and Twins swept for 3rd consecutive time at playoffs and this season 5th in AL Central.

God,just think about what a magical place the Metrodome was at the time this happend.The Vikes were likely 4-0 on the way to a date at the NFC championship game and the Twins had just extended the life of this facility for baseball!Both missions came to tragic ends,but it does not have to be that way this year!The Vikings, 0-2 will have to face off against Detroit,comon man Detroit, we gotta be 1-2 after that one!For the Twins,who knows,except it has been an exciting inaugural season @ Target!
