  • Americans are making the right decision. They are saying NO. When will the Demoncrats listen?

  • Lol, no offense, but this bill which is crafted almost entirely of Democrat proposals is (a) absent a public option and (b) forces 40 million new customers to purchase health insurance from private companies. Who's the party of Insurance Companies of America again?

  • people voted for this numbnut?

  • Say no, so we can have a $10,000 deductible & have the many insurance companies that are on the brink, go out. That is why many are supporting the med-reform. Must be some reason for

this sudden reform! I pay my taxes. That is how an state works.

Jesus said pay your taxes anyway! Matthew 22:21 You are all heathens! Ok now this blame Obama for our mess.

Bush made us run out of money, Obama is trying to fix it.

  • @njcarlos1 : That is incorrect. Republicans promised the Democrats votes if certain things were considered. The Democrats made those considerations and amended the bill. However in final passage Republicans still said "No" and then they made accusations that simply do not exist.

Here's my problem with all of this "No" business. The GOP said "No" to THEIR OWN BILL. The Democrats introduced a Republican bill with a Democratic sponsor, just to show how irrational the Republicans are.

  • Say NO to asshole Republicans.

  • @njcarlos1 You can't get mad at the Democrats for passing a bill that the GOP deliberately REFUSED to improve, and at every turn TRIED to sabotage. Most of the things said about the bill by the GOP were complete lies designed to make people hate it. It was all political spite. It was an agenda. It was republicans WANTING this bill to fail because they felt if it failed, Obama would fail. The bill we got isn't even bad. It's just not as amazing as it could have been without the GOP's tantrum.

  • @njcarlos1 You need to learn about legislative process, njcarlos1. Once a proposal has been tossed out, or dramatically altered, bringing the original back is not only slow (slower than the year it took to get THIS bill) but also very difficult to do. The GOP said that bill was the fricken devil regardless of what was done to it, so we had to go with the one that had the most elaboration on what it did. The original PROPOSAL was about twice as large and wasn't fine-tuned.

  • @njcarlos1 You are basically condoning a temper tantrum, and getting mad at the parents who forced spinach on the kids.

Dems: "What do you want for a vegetable?"

    GOP: "Nothing! I want cookies!"

Dems: "I don't have all day, which do you want?"

    GOP: "NO!!!"

Dems: "You know what? Fine, spinach it is then."

GOP: "But I don't LIKE spinach!"

Dems: "Well then you should have spoken up sooner."

The difference is they had a year to help decide, and still decided to urinate in the spinach first.

  • @njcarlos1 Because the ORIGINAL bill was already off the tables! Do you not understand how legislation works? They start out with a proposal. That proposal goes through changes based on what the legislators want. They kept making changes constantly to try to win any sort of approval, only to be told no anyway. Ultimately they had a more definite bill now than they had before, albeit not as good of a bill. The original was just a proposition. It needed more elaboration and fine-tuning.

  • @archon099 They did know, so that makes NO sense. Even if the Dems *WERE* being pushovers, they new very well before the votes were cast that 0 Reps were going to vote. They knew it, this is fact. Therefore, since they knew, they should have introduced the ORIGINAL bill that they "wanted" and voted along party lines. This is a very simple concept... you can not blame Republicans for Democratic incompetency, it just doesn't work. The bill is the work of the Dems, point blank period.

  • Forced to pay the corporations, with no restrictions on the rates that can be charged or possible restrictions of service, IS NOT "health care reform". Catch up, it's 2 party line of crap. Read the executive orders created by the last 4 presidents.
