Had a Rode VideoMic attached to my camcorder. Awesome shotgun microphone that has a high pass fiter (aka low cut filter) that kept the bass down and a -20db pad that prevented the audio from distorting. And since it's a shotgun mic it's more directional and doesn't pick up as much crowd noise.
