Queensland Floods Relief Appeal

The whole world watched in horror at the images in my first video as an unprecedented flash flood washed away an entire car park in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

I returned to the car park at East Creek today to film this appeal to show you that my tiny creek really is just a tiny creek. It gives incredible perspective to the huge torrent that it became.

You've seen the devastation - now contribute to the relief effort. The floods have caused untold damage throughout 75% of Queensland. It will cost billions of dollars to clean up the destruction and rebuild essential infrastructure, buildings, homes and communities.

I guess you never know when your life is going to be thrust into the public arena. You watched in amazement as my video went viral eh? I watched with surprise, shock and dread!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. We helped with the cleanup in the CBD the other day and we are waiting to get access to Grantham to help some families there. Long road ahead.

Greetings from Canada. It was your video that prompted me to donate to the relief effort in Queensland - at the other end of the world. Your video was excellent - in part because many of us leave our cars in just such a parking lot outside an ordinary office building ... and then it became anything but ordinary.
