  • Where do you live? Yes, chewing, sucking insects can transmit fireblight. The Citrol you suggest -- I don't see it having any activity against fireblight. Good luck. JC.

  • p.s. Every tree on which i saw sucking 1/2" 1cm insects have developed fire blight. I consideer it a 1 : 1 correspondence of the insect : blight.

  • What do you think about Citrol (lemon oil-based spray, same active ingredient as Citronella grease cutter for hands) - it's 100% natural lemon oil. I don't want to use non-naturals like antibiotics.

    I tried copper-based fungicide this spring, fire blight is still spreading (we had HEAVY rains May full month.)
