@frogswallop it's the marketing power behind this band that's made them more accessible to the public, not their musicianship. Anyway, I think terms like 'accessible' when applied to music are becoming less and less relevant - all types of music are VERY easily accessed these days. It's just about how ruthlessly they are marketed.

This is pretty high quality musicianship, so I really wouldn't say it was substandard - what it has done by making accessible Jazz is making the jazz scene more recognisable in the UK, at least, and available to many of our generation. That, I think, is the most important thing about this band.
