This is the final battle for the senior division(13+) at the LA Pokemon Video Game Showdown held in Los Angeles, CA, on July 12th 2008. The contestant on the right is from Smogon(zerowing). This is part 1. I had to split it up into two parts because it was a tad too long for Youtube's time limit. Regardless, here is LA Showdown, part 1.

  • tybalti, stop posting this BS about Smogon. It's clear that your Gamefaqs ignorance is showing. A few things you probably don't know, is that the winner has an account at Smogon and that he was doing a lot of "training" with one of Smogon's best Doubles players. Go back to Gamefaqs and post your thoughts about Smogon there. It's filled with crappy threads so yours will fit right in.

  • haha GameFAQs, no wonder he's annoying and not thinking clearly.

and on a side note, congrats tybalti, you are now banned from this video!

    have a nice day.

  • I cant wait till the eigtg

  • Oookay yeah TRoom w/ weavile lead?

  • Watching this match at the LA Showdown inspired me to get into competitive battling and form a Rain team. =) Don't get me wrong, zerowing is really good, but Chris' team was pretty original - at that tourney at least. This year it'll probably be different, what with Kyogre and Groudon and all...

  • cool

  • yeah no guard working on your allies is just a netbattle glitch I found out

  • it makes your opponents aswell and both in a double and not your allies

  • Actually, I think the event staff had the players "upload" their pokemon from their DS's into 2 different Wiis. Then they fought as if it were two people facing each other over Wifi

  • Your moves are revealed to your opponent? You're playing with Wii Remote data? That's lame, but I guess it prevents disconnecting.

  • this is ok but the guy on the right was horrible, but one thing, does anyone know if no guard makes your allies or opponents attacks perfectly accurate? or how it works exactly in doubles, my brother told me it only raises the accuracy of yours and your opponents, not your allies. But then why would so many use champ, dunno.

  • I LOVE how dusknoir is able to twist dimesions from his belly. Wis h I could do that
