@QuesterJon Henry Koster directed this wondrous film. Koster also directed The Robe (1953). I believe that the author (Robert Nathan) wrote the book, The Bishop's Wife, during the mid-late 1920s. This splendid film was one of my darling late wife's favorite Christmas movies. A Merry and Hopeful Christmas 2011 to you and to all who view this great movie!

@jgrayson1934 I wish more ministers would take the time to recite the Psalms to their children. Furthermore, I believe that angels bring Heavenly-sweet dreams to us all (especially children).

@celticghillies03 Cary Grant depicted class and refinement without being high-minded/stuffy. A Merry and Hopeful Christmas 2011 to you and to all who view this resplendent film. This movie was one of my darling late wife's favorite Christmas films.

@SuperAnnaliz This film's message is timeless -- for all the year long. We could all use the brush of an angel's wing every day (especially these days). A Merry and Hopeful Christmas 2011 to you and to all who view this splendid and inspirational film.

@mickeymousebiker1 Yes I think so too.

@QuesterJon Amen! A Heavenly-resplendent film. Inspirational, as well. The little girl played Jimmy Stewart's daughter in It's A Wonderful Life. Cary Grant should have won an Oscar for his role in this sublime film! We needed movies such as The Bishop's Wife, It's A Wonderful Life, and The Miracle Of the Bells during the few years following WWII. We need movies like this one even more today! A Merry and Hopeful CHRISTmas 2011 to you and to all!

@celticghillies03 Cary Grant should have won an Oscar for The Bishop's Wife.

@crowpass How God-graced that little girl is! A Heavenly angel tells her the story of David! There are many ministers who need to tell such Bible stories to their own children. Thank Christ and Heaven for angels -- they bring we mortals sweet dreams and Divine Hope. A Merry and Hopeful Christmas 2011 to all who view this Heavenly-resplendent scene.

It's unbelievable that Cary Grant never won an Oscar for one of his performances....it's a shame
A wonderful movie, and one of the really great scenes in Hollywood history.
