Remember when Indian movies were actually filmed in India and the main characters actually spoke in Hindi and the songs were in Hindi and not some english autotune...
What made Bollywood great was that it didn't try to be hollywood. And now all you have is tattooed stars, each trying to outdo one another in fashion or who can speak better english etc. The majority of Indians still live there, they don't like in the UK, Australia, Canada or the US...

I think why so many Middle Easterners like Bollywood now is because Indian culture and Bollywood is EVERYTHING the Middle East lacks
Its colourful, its fun, its passionate, its love
its not war, and burkhas and religious fanaticism
Or at least thats what a few have told me
