  • Wow, that is crazy impressive. What do you deadlift out of curiosity?

  • I have no clue. I've never deadlifted for max. Actually in the last year I've really gotten into super squats and high rep-failure lifting.

  • Very good for such as skinny guy (no offense lol!) What do you clean and jerk?

  • thanks. my jerk is really bad. i only started jerking 6 months ago. i can do 120 kg, but my form has some pretty severe flaws.

  • -drop

this is just a safety thing but do not look away after you drop the bar! guide the bar (not hold) down as it falls, and control the bounces with your hands.

  • to be fair, i've seen much uglier form around here, but point taken. the problem with my back mostly stems from how i tend to catch the bar when it's heavy. i tend to just get my arms under it without having it racked properly so my back rounds because the bar isn't high enough in relation to my shoulders.

i also have grip issues. i can't hook properly and i hurt thumb last november trying to max again. i've finally given up trying to clean heavy without straps.

  • was that really 140?

  • Sheesh! I've known guys who've been jerkin' since age 10!

  • 120kg thats pretty good!, yeah it's hard to get good form without a coach.

  • -first pull back isn't straight look forward, not up or down -second pull back still isn't straight based on your back position as the bar leaves your hips, I suspect you are armpulling, which is illegal -catch back still isn't straight catch with your elbows pointed out, not down use the stretch reflex those are just some points based on what I can see work with less weight until you have decent form, never trade form for numbers
