hey i have a peavey pv 8 usb mixer is that a sound card its usb or am i gonna have to get a sound card ?

is it Presonus Audiobox USB or M-Audio Fast Track Pro ...can´t choose....and is it just me or is M-BOX overrated???

Swapped my hard drive for faster one and it made a noticeable difference in the previous problem with input gain. Works well now, so I guess Im not going to question it, just be grateful. Maybe it was the re install who knows?

Just got a firebox the only real complaint is trying to get a strong signal into it, My pod has to be turned all the way up, and the bass looks weak on the graph even with the built in pre's and the 12 db boost on the firebox control window. I guess an active DI or bass pedal might help but it will also raise the noise floor. You should definitely record with a high sample rate on this one. Sounds great when the signals hot, a metal player with a lot of output would love this.

I am not 100% but I believe the shipped firmware needs flashing to upgrade it to a more stable version.

Does this unit use it own soung card or do you have to purchase seperat. and is it bundled with multitrack software.

This unit is it's own soundcard. It comes bundled with Cubase LE recording software - a stripped down version of Cubase.
