  • what is the name of this piece of music playing in the background? Not the Arvo Part piece but the music that we hear when we watch this video.

  • @Loveisme09

  • @BernardProfitendieu I've admired Sylvie Guillem, somehow I could connect my emotion to Sylvie's dancing in Smoke, I saw her at the Royal Ballet class when SFB was touring in London. You are entitled to call her whatever you want, and I am in turn entitled to disagree. So, perhaps we should end of our discussion here.

  • @leoninsf remind me: how exactly did the topic of this discussion turn out to be you, you, you? I must've missed a turn there

  • @BernardProfitendieu You called Sylvie Guillem an "unhappy clodhopper", maybe so. I don't think she cares of whatever you call her. Just like her, I dance what I like, I say NO or YES to whatever, whomever I feel like. That would make me an unhappy clodhopper too, at least I get to do what I love, not being told what to do is one's ultimate choice of freedom.

  • @leoninsf the unhappy clodhopper? I was talking about Sylvie Guillem, of course!

  • @BernardProfitendieu Which piece were you talking about: the After the Rain by Christopher Wheldon or Smoke by Mats Ek? You seems very difficult to please, and that's alright, everybody is different.

  • @leoninsf why would anyone want to watch that unhappy clodhopper?

  • @dancering100 According to the PNB's website:

"(the) pas de deux is performed to (Arvo) Pärts spare and tender duet for piano and violin, Spiegel im Spiegel."

    Hope that helps.
