Not true Kim. Everyone in the southwest knows that jumping cactus is not a plant, but an animal, burrowing into your skin to reproduce by "jumping" up to 3 feet to find its next victim. Ok. not true, great video

This video is well-done.
Has anyone else noticed that the host is dressed like Sam Neil's character in Jurassic Park?

Good job,my ex husband thought it was a joke, when he had heard of the jumping cactus he even laughed about it .The last day we were in Tucson desert he wanted a photo out in the desert. The joke was on him the next thing I new he was holding our 2 month old daughter and 1 of the jumping cactus was clinging to the calf of his left leg.I had nothing to use except one of my daughter's clean pamper's, and it worked.I pulled it out of his leg.

Great - except the Chain Fruit Cholla is not the famed Jumping Cactus!! The Teddy Bear Cholla is the hands-down king of the bad guys!
But do give the Chain Fruit Cholla an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor...a well done video, though! Jonathan

I've seen several painful videos where the flicking technique does not work.
