1040 AM WYSL's Bill Nojay and Bob Savage are Racists

On July 6th, 1040 AM WYSL broadcasters Bill Nojay (who is a Republican running for New York State Assembly) and Bob Savage used unacceptable language and extremely offensive music when referring to an Asian American running for Congress.

This un-American speech only furthers prejudices and stereotyping that hold our country back.

The reference that Bill Nojay makes to “the peoples republic” if referring to what the conservatives in upstate NY call Ithaca – The peoples republic of Ithaca. No mention of China is ever made.

The fact that Bill Nojay would select the Sukiyaki song to play in the background would suggest that he understands that Nate is of Japanese ancestry. That he would play any song with any cultural reference also is a supple form of racism.
