I have to ask, Can I cheat and get the Fire Arrows WITHOUT the longshot (ie can i use the normal hookshot)? I want them for the Fire Temple and Im not sure if I can get them without it yet

Do you have to get the fire arrows right after the water temple?

You don't have to get it right then, no, but they are required to complete the Shadow Barrier of Ganon's Castle, so you will need them to finish the game.

@kankuskitty You do make a point but what you stated can be easily avoided with the giants wallet, empty bottles and blue or green potion. If you don't lose a lot of health then stock up on green. If you lose equal health and magic just stick with the blue potion. Mind you if you don't know where to get blue potion go to the old hag in kakariko village. Best way to deal with fire keese is to just lure them to you and fuck them up with your shield then quickly hookshot them. Saves on arrows.

@ecafredrummailliw Well they would be useful for lighting torches and such. My magic runs out pretty quick when i constantly have to use Dins Fire and I'd rather just waste my arrows. The Keese are annoying so one shot to Fire Keese and their dead

@kankuskitty no. why would you even need them for the fire temple. they will do nothing there other than kill enemies.
