Sigh...I have to admit that I'm hopelessly lost when musicians are compared and not measured in their own right, in their own genre.
The same can be said of poets that present identical fare, but yet do so in distinctly different manner.... which might seem skewed to some and beloved by others...depending on the method of interpretation.
The Cale and Bauhaus paths are avant-garde and gothic (respectively) and are two very distinct interpretations of rock.
