  • Hi Jenny, I am just starting to play some blues so I can jam with my blues buddies and was wondering if there is a part 2 to this lesson that I can't find. Thanks for posting, cheers.

  • Hi, yes, I've just checked and Part 2 is right underneath Part 1 on my channel page. If you still can't find it please let me know. I know computers can do funny things!

  • Thanks for this great lesson (and part 2)

I was practicing earlier and couldn't play a decent note, so went searching on YouTube for 3rd position tutorials.

Found your vids instead and had a great night jamming! My GF now thinks I've gone kookoo, but at less tI could play something and have some fun at the same time.

  • cool : )

  • @roscopico70 size 1 is prob. the same as 4/4 - which is a full size violin. I started playing violin too with a guitar background.. you can pick up a decent beginning violin for 250 dollars ..

  • size 1!

  • more please

  • thanks for sharing - great info. i can't wait to watch video 2 - thanks again. rob

  • oi t/bem vc toca muito bem. sou seu fan gostaria de ver mais..

  • Hi there

    Thanks for your comment.

I've never heard of size 1! I live in the UK and we only have quarter, half, and three quarter sizes for children and full size for adults.

To check your violin is the correct size, hold it under your chin and you should be able to just get your hand around the scroll. Your fingers should curl over the top of the scroll. If your arm is longer than this, then I suggest you need the next size up!
