@deejayika Interesting, thanks for the information. Very recently, I finally managed to find a grey Type 2 unit for myself, it is shipping to me next week infact. I have been searching for one for a long time, I can't wait to finally connect it to my PS3 for Railfan as it was meant to be played! I hope to film some gameplay videos as well... I will let you know ( ゚ヮ゚)

Great videos! May I ask what the 'Skeleton' version refers to? I notice the colour scheme of the controller is different to the standard Type 2 unit, I'm curious if there are any other different features ^_^

@bosbosdotnet @bosbosdotnet Thank you! Great to hear that you like the videos. The difference between the Skeleton version and the Standard Type 2 is none. The only that separates them is the color scheme and the notch handle, wich come in the older T-shaped form with the Skeleton, and in the Shinkansen notch-handle form with the Standard unit. There are also older Standard Type 2 units (grey) that have the T-shaped notch handle.

haha wow gloves and everything... you must be the most hardcore densha de go fan.
WHAT THE HELL is up with the pointing the finger at the screen? That's not nice. It's very RUDE to point.

@boamuro It's a physical confirmation through hand gesture of visible checks that japanese train drivers are supposed to make. It's called 'shisakanko' - confirmation through finger pointing. Sometimes you hear a driver, alone in his cab, going through various checkpoints by pointing, and verbally confirming what they are doing. Sounds a bit weird like talking to oneself, but it's another way of ensuring admirable safety and puntuality record which is the envy of the world

may i ask how did you connect the controller to ps3? do you need an adapter?

The Type 2 controller uses USB. Therefore it can be used with ps2 as well as ps3
