Mayom Lazaro is a Sudanese refugee who arrived in the U.S. in 2003 and who now works for a refugee resettlement agency called RefugeeOne in Chicago. Tells his personal story of how he was separated from his wife and son when he moved to the U.S.. how his wife just arrived 2 years ago due to the complex U.S. refugee process but that his son did not accompany her. Although his son lives in Canada now, Mayom cannot visit or see him and he has not seen his son since 2004. He calls upon all people of faith to support all policies which can bring immigrant and refugee families together and to get involved in helping families unite.
