Observation(s):
PM (between 2100-2200)
- Marion Road pedestrian with a death wish
- Baby koala is killed by a fox

Conditions: Mild, low 20's Celsuis

Date/Time: Saturday, 11 Apr 2009

Current Road Toll:
http://www.dtei.sa.gov.au/roadsafety/home

What: Driving Diary (12 month experimental project)

Where: South Australia

Why: To record 12 months of my life driving, and in the process reflect on my own driving behaviour and to possibly highlight how other ppl's behaviours can impact negatively on us. Accidents can be so easily avoided.

Sound: I only keep one CD in the car and change that weekly, so there will be some repetition. GPS also makes a few sounds and audible directions.

This is for educational (not punitive) purposes, it is my belief that citizens shouldn't police other citizens.

  • thats sad but it is life! and that man was crazy for even crossing!

  • even crazier, when you consider there was no other cars behind us

  • The Australian Army was sent out to shoot as many wild cats as they could find. Because of the threat to other wild life. Thanks for your videos. It's nice to see night time and day time videos of Adelaide. I don't expect you to be doing requests for everyone, but if by chance you ever feel like it, could you drive along next to day time Semaphore Beach. I have many fond memories of the white sand and pine trees. And dad used to walk and tow us along in the water in our PVC plastic boats.

  • I do frequent semaphore quite often actually - so, I'll be sure to include some of that footage next time. You may not recognise the place now, it's semi-developed (but not an eyesore like the bay is) and is very expensive real estate-wise. ...and I didn't know about the cat cull either.

Yeah they don't have any natural predators at all

  • That sucks man. I love Koalas. Koalas I just found out do not have any NATURAL predators. This would hurt to see in person.

  • Yes, I saw the changes in "Google Earth street view". It all looks very quiet and wealthy.

  • lol yeah!

  • Its a strange thing .. They're very laid back and the drivers get stressed .. Yet they're the ones who'll end up with a car radiator shoved up their backside ! crrraaazzyyy :S lol

  • Pedestrian unconscious....although I admit that I also often an unconscious.

very daring foxes on the spot
