Japanese Empire at the time stayed in Korea for 36 years and actually halted Korea's potential development. I don't know why you mention the companies because they have nothing to do with Japan being in Korea. The only thing that at least helped Korea develop would be the war between North and the South, and the money that was loaned to S.Korea, although not much, gave a slight boost in the economy. So stop running wild acting like you know any shit that your talking.
Yes. I would say somewhat. Huyndai, Samsung, hard working ethics, education system,.....do you think koreans would given up their classes willingly 100 years ago? If not the emperor then korea would been like irag or hard core old fashioend folks. overall, it was painful but thank goodness it happened by japan not china, russia or US.

hence the word, help.

they're surely helping the country.

what's wrong w/old fashion? and
nothing justifies invasion and war crimes.
I would rather stay in chosun period than see my baby sister to be kidnapped to join the sex slaves.
in the long run?
tell ya why it takes a long time.
it's because it takes just that long to neutralize that old power and balance democracy and ideology.
