Shot on September 21, 2008 at the Morrison-Sound View Avenue station on the #6 line in the Bronx - here we see the World War I IRT Low Volatage (aka Low-V) cars running from the Westchester Avenue Yard in the Bronx and about to go into special service for the Yankee Stadium baseball special. This was the day of the last game ever played at the old Yankee Stadium.

  • Definitely not full speed. I rode these babies in the 50's and early 60's and they were faster then, even when pulling trailersm, then the museum cars seem to be.

  • great catch!

  • Great video of the IRT Low-Vs running at full speed.
