  • It is not "No Child Left Behind", it is "No Teacher Left Standing"!!! Where is the student and parent accountability piece??? I have been teaching in poverty for 4 years and I am totally burned out!!!!

  • I've been at this since 1985. I do get very frustrated at times, it is the smile on the students' faces that let me know I am making a difference.

  • Today when I learned that every school in the CBE (Calgary), won't be getting options next year. I immediately thought of this song. :(

  • @halflinks What you say is especially true of charter schools. A big business.

  • depressing...

  • the fields in which these unwarrented tests are truly needed for, is anything but English, if the only purpose behind the English classes are to make a child literate, then I should of been able to drop out of the English classes after fourth grade.

  • Finally a song that is not just a kiss up to the test and test makers.

  • Testing is pure authoritarianism.

  • I'm a ninth grader in Pennsylvania and I can tell you personally that THE PSSA'S SUCK DONKEY BONERS!

"Remember children, we stick to the book ONLY because that's what's on the test!"

    What a joke!

  • haha god this is so true

  • lol this is so true! our school hardly funds music, art, social studies, second language or, come to think of it, anything! The music department has to hold there own fundraiser so they can buy instruments books etc. Most teachers have to buy some of there supplies.

meanwhile, teachers are talking about the flat screen tv that

our school just bought. no one uses it, anyways...
