  • I had a fish and chips yesterday Ooooo the batter was yum :D lol

  • @joytriangle i know

  • @YourFriendlyMe what??..how?

  • bobby flay is a douchebag enough said

  • I would punch a baby for some fish and chips right now. I gotta say, just from the description, both actually sound pretty awesome. I wouldn't be opposed to a 'spicy' version of fish and chips every once in a while. Maybe 3 times for every ten times I get fish and chips, it would be alright to try them with a bit of spice. But nothing beats the olde schoole.

  • @GustavusAdolphus1 ....being told by an American that "England gets hammered harder than anyone for their lack of cuisine" is akin to being told to sit up straight by the hunchback of Notre Dame!!

  • @GustavusAdolphus1 british cuisine is fantastic.

  • I mean lets be honest, Brits aren't so angry about a staged competition that's ultimately aimed at promoting one of their own on foreign soil.

No, they're attaching a much deeper insecurity to this pointless competition. Many Britons have a painful inferiority complex in their relation with the US. England gets hammered harder than anyone for their lack of cuisine. But I don't understand how allowing those sentiments to surface in any way defelects notice of them on a Food Network broadcast...

  • People are far too sensitive about battered cod. Yeah, Bobby called him out. The point is, a relatively non-descript restaurant and its proprietor have been incredibly well-marketted internationally.

From my own position, I have found one place worth trying out when I next visit NYC. I intentionally avoid eating there: not a good ratio of cost to quality. Now, I'll go out of my way to this chippie and try out the hosting brewery.

Only a moron expects TFN to send Flay out to beat his competit'n
