This video was not made to target the Albanians who sing hip hop, we just used a clip to show how other cultures are influencing the Albanian culture, and we are forgetting a lot of our ideals. It was also made to show the beauty of it, and how we are not together. That we must stick together and respect each other. There is nothing wrong with being modern, as long as you don't lose yourself in the process. Some of the songs they put out are good... Like Proud to be an Albanian...

Let's be honest. The majority of first generation Albanian-Americans are a disgrace to the struggles of their parents and the Albanian people. I grew up very poor, but my family made it a point to stress education and the beauty of the Albanian culture. The majority of Albanians in the Bronx and other boroughs have chosen to imitate ethnic groups that have been present in the U.S. for decades (if not centuries) and have little to no progress to show for it. It's a shame.

I have no issue with the Albanian culture "melting" into the pot of globilization, but at least get something in exchange. Don't sell out millenia of history that the Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, Communism, & Serbs failed to extinguish for MTV & a Big Mac. Move your people into the 21st century with education, a viable economy, elimination of government corruption, and extinguishing the criminal element before you leave behind the one thing you have always been able to be proud of: your culture.

@dadush4 Sorry my man. I'm not about that. My ancestors fought off invasions of your people for my country so I could be proud of who I am today. I feel bad for how warped you are. We didn't spill our blood in our country so I could have an Arabic name and no sense of national identity. For someone who would sell their identity for money. It's a shame. Thank god though that islam is getting more and more scarce in Albania. At least most people are realizing their national identity.
