Despite some fiery bowling from Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram, Australia piled on the runs thanks to Michael Slater (169 including 25 fours and one six) and a rapidfire 100 to Mark Waugh. Adam Gilchrist on debut (81 from 88 balls) and Shane Warne (86 from 90) took Australia to 575 all out. Akhtar took four wickets and legspinner Mushtaq Ahmed three, though both were expensive.

  • @BuDDyyBeNn23 One of the worst! The replay looked really bad.

  • I love how shane warne's solution to spin bowling is to skip down the track and mow them over long on. Typical club cricket, and proof that simple is often the best method :P
