  • can i ask as an outsider what the following questions have to do with the sketch above?

  • @tnekkc

Yeah well I bet you're a communist or something. Most engineers are communists.

  • @theherooftime4

Not only am I an engineer with an engineering degree from the Univ of Wash, so is my father, uncle, wife, cousins, and son.

I have eaten lunch with other engineers that are not related to me for 35 years.

When I as in college, many people said they did no believe I was studying engineering. Engineers are nerds, and I looked normal.

Where I live most guys are 1) attorneys, 2) engineers, 3) doctors, 4) etc.

I can spot the engineers from across the street.

  • @tnekkc

I don't believe you are an engineer. I'm a historian. The treaties that concluded World War I, which were really more like harsh restrictions forcing many nations to cease to grow economically, and socially, ultimately caused civil unrest, which led to nationalist parties rising to power, and continuing a war of conquest. And, no, it works great in YOUR dreams.

  • @theherooftime4

    I am an engineer.

We have higher standards for cause and effect.

WWI causing WWII is not up to engineering standards.

But it works great in YOUR dreams.

  • @tnekkc

No... Certain events led to other events, which in turn caused a war which caused conditions which caused another war. It is a fact.

  • @theherooftime4

You can look at it that way if you want to... but it is not a fact, but an interpretation.

I used to go out with a girl who's uncle was a history prof... he talked like that.. history is an interpretation.

  • @tnekkc

    >the liberal that started world warII

I don't think you know how World War II started.

It was an extension of an earlier conflict called World War I. Look it up.

  • @crazytosh1

We are having some trouble with definitions here. The liberals that started this country were libertarian. They wanted to limit gov to a tiny part of our lives.

The liberal that started WWII wanted to increase the size and power of government and pushed gun control and single payer gov paid health care.

The democrats of today are not in the libertarian camp, but the NAZI camp.

Stealing our guns rights is the voting record of liberals like Cleese.

  • @tnekkc There's nothing wrong with being opinionated or liberal, and what do you mean 'steal every right we have' liberals are all about freedom, are you American? Liberals gave you the right to have a gun. You do realise that Sarah Palin and Michael Palin are two different people by the way?
