Weltmeyer/Bolero/Grande gelding registered with the German Oldenburg Verband This video was when he was ridden by his cowboy after 1 1/2 months of training. As of June 2010 he has 6 months of training and is more developed so he can move with his head down. Unfortunately, there were two kids jumping motocross bikes on the other side of the arena fence. Whistlestop has a very good mind, and really only looks around at stuff, doesn't do wacko "Im out of here stuff" when scared. We have let his mouth alone, except for open rein turning, so that he now has learned to trust the hand, in the traditional German style of learning. Although not seen on this clip, he is now bringing his head down to a contact-seeking position as he matures and his topline strenthens. He was started later to ensure minimal stress on his growth plates of his bones in the classical German style, as opposed to the "make money quickly" current style of training. This should pay off in long term soundness.

Whistle is located in CA, near UCDavis/Sacramento
He is priced at $20,000 but I will consider all offers. He has a full sister, a year younger, too.

Whistle is not high, but he is tall. He has incredible gaits like the Weltmeyer DNA imparts, but unlike many Weltmeyers, he has a good mind.....since he is out of a very old fashioned mare.
