  • first heard punta in california back in 1989.im american but my extended family were from dangria village and after about two bottles of crabbo i learned how to dance pretty good. memories of fried jacks, crabbo, conch fritters and good old beliezian hospitality will always leave love for all belizians(garifuna, stan creek ) in my heart!!!! i havent seen too many belizians here in new york but i know they represent!!!

  • @Hotters70603XL No...you're wrong...as a Garifuna, I'm offended. I never said that Garifuna were African. I said the mixture of carib/arawak/african is why we have "Garifuna" today. They did not originate from South America and if you ask other Gari they will tell you that the motherland is St. Vincent and the Grenadines (Yurumein). I really do not want to put a whole story up here, please read up on our history because you do not want to give out the wrong information.

  • Nuru is Belizean and punta cartel has the other guys that are from Belize Guatemala and Honduras you can go and watch them live at Honduras Kitchen in Los Angeles by Slauson and Santa Fe :)
