Kara DioGuardi performs "Taking Chances" at the Somaly Mam Gala

Kara DioGuardi Campaigns Against Human Trafficking with a ive performance at the 2nd Annual Somaly Mam "Evening of Hopes and Dreams Gala." The song, "Taking Chances," was written by Kara DioGuardi and David A. Stewart from Eurythmics and made famous by Celine Dion.

The Somaly Mam Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the $12 billion per year sex-trafficking industry. On September 29th 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA, this foundation hosted an event to reach out to the community and inform people of the victims and survivors of such cruelty. Sexual trafficking is an ongoing event that is harming countless individuals. Slavery is not over, so take a chance to help out another in need, be their courage, their strength, and their support. @theCherryblossom25 can I not speak my opinion? actually, I can sing. maybe not as good as Kara or Celine, but I'm not jealous of Kara. Kara does have a lovely voice, I just don't feel this song flatters her as much as celine's voice is flattered by this.

Kara also produced the celine version and made her sing it exactly as she originally did. If you listen to both studio cuts they're nearly identical. celine never sounded so organic.
