Shangri La Burgers

Visited the Hawaii home of Doris Duke; Shangri La a five acre estate in Black Point just below Diamond Head. She visited yearly until her death and made this home into a showcase of Islamic architecture and interiors complete with tiles. Incredibly beautiful house but the location at the water's edge is amazing.

Following an incomplete Honolulu taco tour we ventured to President Obama's favorite burger joint, Kua Aina for some ono burgers. This trip is a melding of two types of vacation, one type for V and one for me. She likes the food and I like the touristing somewhere in the active stuff we do we meet.

Hmmm...when the tour guide said no photography of the interior I asked if it was okay to video, to which she replied that it was alright. Apparently they are wary of people, when lining up a photo, being not careful and bumping into things. I would assume this would also relate to people videoing but went with the tour guides answer to my video question.
