Sunday afternoon river of cars on the I-405 freeway through Sepulveda Pass in Los Angeles. On July 15, the freeway will close for 53 hours.

  • wow this would be considerd amazing a hundred years into the past. Imagine how fast cars will travel in a hundred years from now. Maybe 120 mph speed limit with wider roads.

  • @TommyBNSF All the motorcycles pass between cars like that all the time. I had one last week get so close I thought he was gonna knock the side mirror off!

  • Beach traffic.

  • I have to say, I wish the 405 moved like that ANY of the times I have to drive it. And I'm no rush hour commuter. North bound seems to be at and well above the speed limit, and south bound is moderately heavy, but moving very well.

    I've seen it like that a FEW times in recent years, but not anything close the majority of the time.
