@UTGguy88 Um...this isn't a tank. It's an artillery weapon. Yeah, I don't think you need very much speed and compact size when you're shooting 40~60 km behind the lines, especially when these hulks won't be moving much either.

Small and non-diesel, eh? What do you want, a smart-tank?! Even the Challenger 2 and Leclerc use diesel! Check out the K2 Black Panther, and tell me if that's good enough for you, because if it isn't, K2 is one of the best MBTs in the world, so idk...
