This is a poetic documentary about the life and continuing times of vintage vespas.
(Note for those that are not familiar with Vespa history: The first 56 seconds are devoted to WWII footage of Italy getting bombed, it's meant to highlight the devastation. The roads were in such bad shape that a new reliable vehicle was needed to travel on them. Piaggio (the maker of Vespas) was a company that made airplanes, but was no longer being commissioned to do so after the war. So Corradino D'Ascanio invented the first Vespa out of spare airplane parts. The photos that follow are different vintage vespas throughout the years. I also included some commercials and Roman Holiday clips (because that was the movie that set off the vespas popularity). The orange and green vintage vespas are there as a reminder that these highly revered scooters are still in use today.)
Enjoyed! Thanks
