  • @MrMrpomzemzuag All Hmong people in China proudly call themselves Miao. The Chinese are not racist towards us like the Thais and Lao. When the Chinese say Miao it means nothing bad. They are not trying to put anybody down or hurt anyone. The Thais and Lao call us Meo which is racist and has a negative meaning. When they say Meo they are being trying to put us down. Miao is not negative and is not racist. Miao=Chinese word for Hmong, and not racist. Meo=racist word for Hmong in Thai and Lao.

  • @MrMrpomzemzuag But we are Miao. It's a bit insensative to call these people Hmong because most Miao people in Guizhou province do not call themselves Hmong. In their dialects many of them call themselves Hmao or Hmu. But the words Hmao, Hmu, Hmong are all the same word but in different dialects and it is unfair to use the pronunciation of one dialect over all the others. It is unfair to the groups of our people who don't speak the Hmong dialect. Plus Miao is not a bad word in Chinese.

  • Please stop call our people ( Miao ) We appreciate if you guy call us Hmong

    Thanks

  • totally fab!
