  • the human brain is highly overrated & under-performing organ

95% of the universe is imperceptible to it

but it's great for avoiding bumping into the furniture &

    remembering ones lines

  • @BuzzCoastin2012 I prefer to think of it as a barely marginal assemblage of

randomly assembled modular chunks each vying for attention below the surface

of the so-called consciousness most people identify as the self.

This version doesn't make it easier to find your car keys yet....GRIN

  • I am reading Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf . I understand those dualities and contradictions within myself. On one hand, I know it is noble to fight for individual liberties and fight against the globalist government propaganda. I wear the 'conspiracy nut' lapel like a badge of honor. On the other,I am becoming more of an alienated recluse; a disenchanted misanthrope weary of mass consumerism and the shallow, superficial society of mindless zombies. I need to reconcile the activist with the hermit.

  • @1488bill It is far too easy to be seduced into the "one grand gesture" form of

activism in an attempt to give life meaning. These are interesting vignettes in the

flow of history but the most telling activists are those scholars who have been disturbed in their studies and have overturned empires with a stroke of their

pen. The long arc of striving for personal excellences also leaves a mark on

those around us even if they never acknowledge the debt.

  • Great points, I wholeheartedly agree. We are being homogenized. Individuality is becoming a dinosaur... Orwell and Huxley on steroids. A liberal education used to be a broad and diverse way for one to find a niche. Now,everything is instant gratification and specialization.

We need to stand up to these r.f.i.d. chips they are actually implanting inside people. There is a ruckus over the naked body scanners and many folks are waking up to these tactics. But there are more heinous things in store.
